Canada

After our trip to Niagara Falls, I decided to get a passport because I was sad I couldn't go to Canada.  Well it came in the mail pretty quick so we decided a spontaneous trip to Canada would be fun.  We planned this trip late Friday night and left Saturday late-morning for the long drive.

My initial thought was to just drive over the border and stay in the first place we came to, but we decided to go further into Quebec to Montreal and actually ended up staying further north in the "mountain" town of Saint Adele.  We ate dinner at a little cafe and the menu was in French so it was an adventure.

Welcome to Quebec

Sunday we drove back down into Montreal and spent a couple of hours walking around and hike up Mount Royal for the beautiful view of the city.

On our way home, we decided to stop at the Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont for a tour and some delicious ice cream.

It was a fun trip, but I think the lesson learned was that 15 hours is too many hours to drive in one regular weekend. :-)  At least now I can say I have used my passport!
