So I have some blog catching up to do...before Christmas when I will be behind again and need to catch up.
Anyway, the first weekend of December we were able to go home to Utah to visit our families. It was a whirlwind trip but we were able to see a lot of people and do a lot of fun things. I flew in and went right to family pictures with my family...and hour and a half late because of flight delays in Chicago. It all worked out and we ended up with some really cute family photos.

That evening we were able to get together with John's family at his sister Carolyn's house. Sadly, I did not take any pictures but we had a great dinner and lots of fun with the kids.
Later that night I met up with a few of my friends for a much needed girls night (even though I ended up awake for nearly 24 hours on less than 3 hours of sleep).

Love these girls! With Alisha, Linda, Jenna, Andrea, Carlee, and Deb |
On Sunday we were able to go to Lehi to be there for Grant's baby blessing (nearly missed it because google maps took us to 900 North instead of 900 South and of course there was a church there too!). We had a great lunch with my family and it was nice to get some snuggle time with our new little nephew and visit with my family.

Monday we battled the yucky weather and made it to Logan so we could get some winter clothes and a few other things we wanted to have with us in Mass. We had lunch with Kayla at Angie's (the best!) and then continued on to Idaho. We really wanted to be able to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Haney because they were not able to come to our wedding and we didn't have time before the move to make the trip. We were so glad to have the time to visit with them and with my Aunt Brooke. We just wish we were closer so we could visit more often.

Tuesday was our flight back-the trip was much too short of course, but we were glad to be able to go. We aren't sure when we will make it out there next-but we are hoping to have some visitors out here this spring!

Those are super cute pictures of Grant. I think I'm going to steal them.
I'm so glad you had such a wonderful trip, albeit short. And I just have to say, your grandparents are so adorable!
