Mikey's visit

John's brother Mike was nice enough to come out to MA about a week and a half before our move to help us finish packing, load the moving truck, and drive across the country with John.

We made sure to include Mikey in plenty of fun things before we left though.  We ate a lot.  We went to every one of our favorite places one last time and a couple of places we had been meaning to try.  We spent some time in Boston, but it rained a lot.  I realized I was no longer anxious about driving in Boston.  I tried to take Mikey on a driving version of the Freedom Trail, but it didn't work out so well because of too many one-way streets.  Oh well.

We took Mikey to the Big E and ate silly fried food and rode lots of rides (and apparently didn't take any pictures).

We went to see the Red Sox play one last time at Fenway.  They lost, and our "partially obstructed view" seats were less than great.

Partially obstructed?  Really?

We toured the Samuel Adams Brewery.

We decided we needed to see the Red Sox play one more time, we went to NYC to see them play at Yankee Stadium...but they still lost (our seats were much better though).  We took Mikey to Ground Zero and rode the Staten Island Ferry for one last look at the Statue of Liberty.  We also went to Times Square because everyone needs to experience Times Square at night at least once in their life.

We ate more lobster.

And then it was time to load the moving truck for the long trip home.

Welcome, indeed
